Welcome to Holos Nursing Support

My name is Craig, I am a Registered Nurse with approximately 12 years nursing experience, residing in the Fraser Coast region.  I have experience as a Clinical Nurse in general medicine, respiratory and within AODS (Alcohol & Other Drugs) in the prison health setting. I am committed to providing quality and compassionate care to meet the needs of the local community of the Fraser Coast.

Holos Nursing Support was created due to being the sole parent to 5 children with special needs and requiring a more flexible work/life balance. And I feel this industry needs more passionate professionals to drive the greatest outcomes for participants.

'Holos' is the Greek word for 'Holistic', meaning 'entire or whole'. In healthcare, this is paramount to enable people to receive the care that caters to ALL of their needs.

In the NDIS sector this is even more pertinent, as we are not only looking at participant's healthcare needs, we have to consider a flexible, whole-of-life approach to ensure participants can live life their way, achieve their goals and aspirations, plus participate in the community on their terms.

This involves a multi-factorial approach to participant's support, with multiple specialised teams involved in order to inform providers and support workers with the best practice, to support participants in achieving their goals.

We provide a nursing service which collates this information into a one stop document - including extensive nursing assessments - that informs support teams on how to provide the support that is required, custom built to their needs - the Participant Support Plan.

My services include nursing assessments, NDIS report writing and direct nursing care ranging from wound care, medication support, PEG feeding, catheter care, skin integrity checks and tracheostomy care.  However, my passion is the creation of participant support plans to supply front-line providers of support, with a clear and concise document to enable holistic support for the participant, something severely lacking in the NDIS sector.
